Hiring a dedicated team is easy to buy and hard to run well. The failure mode is rarely skill. It is ambiguity about who decides what, and a four-hour overlap nobody protects.
Name a decision-maker on both sides
One person on your side who can unblock scope, and one on ours who owns delivery. Without both names on the page, every decision waits for a meeting that keeps getting rescheduled.
Protect the overlap window
Two to four hours of genuine overlap is enough — if it is defended. Use it for decisions and demos, not status updates. Status belongs in writing, where it is searchable and does not need anyone awake.
